Tell us about your child
Age, interests, personality — everything Poppy needs to find the right match.

We find their pen pal
Proposed by our matching software, then reviewed by a person before anyone is notified. Matches are reviewed weekly, and if we can't find a good one within 21 days, your billing pauses automatically and we keep looking.

Write, send, wait, squeal
Monthly packs arrive with everything needed to send something wonderful. Then the waiting begins.
Tell us about your little writer.
When you sign up, you fill out a short profile about your child — their age, what lights them up, whether they're a talker or a quiet observer, what kind of friend they're hoping to find. The more you share, the better Poppy can work her magic.

When you join, you complete a short profile about your child. A person reviews every pairing before either family is notified.

This is the part we take most seriously — and the part that makes MailDay different from every other pen pal service. Every match is proposed by our matching software and then reviewed by a person before anyone is notified — no match goes out unseen. Poppy's job starts once the pack ships.

Every match is proposed by our matching software and then reviewed by a person, so now and then it takes a little longer. If a pen pal isn't confirmed within 21 days of joining, we pause your billing automatically until the match is made — nothing for you to do, no email to send. We'd rather find the right match than rush one.

She tells them what she found, asks what they've been up to, and signs off the same way every time. It's the piece kids read first and the one they keep. Written to a child, never down to one.
